Regulatory Performance Advice
Whilst membranes need to be fire-classified to meet the regulatory requirements, they must also be tested to the correct performance standards too, to ensure that they exceed the performance requirements.
It is hoped that a membrane on a building will never have to prove its fire-classification, but it will need to prove that it can perform and is fit for purpose, every minute of every day!
For example, the OBEX CORTEX 0500FR Class B Membrane is an EPDM-alternative that achieves Class B, but is also tested to EN 13984, ensuring that it achieves the necessary resistance to water-penetration.
