Product Description
OBEX CORTEX 0530FR Class B AVCL membrane has excellent air and vapour-tightness properties which make it ideally suited to improving the airtightness, moisture management and energy efficiency of buildings.
It is installed on the warm side of the insulation and provides an air and vapour-tight barrier, preventing warm air and moisture from passing through the external wall and forming interstitial or surface condensation within the cavity.
The AVCL Membrane is normally bonded to the steel framing with OBEX CORTEX Double-Sided Tape before the plasterboard layer is applied. Applications may vary depending on the construction build up. The OBEX Technical team can help with any application queries.
The membrane is installed using the CORTEX 0825 Installation Kit which includes 2 rolls of CORTEX 0824FR Double-Sided Tape and 6 rolls of single sided CORTEX 0823FR UV Façade Tape.
