Interface Sealing Membrane shall achieve a minimum of class A2-s1,d0 under EN 13501-1. Interface Sealing Membranes shall conform with EN 13984 to ensure they have adequate resistance to water penetration. ISM’s shall not be breathable/intelligent membranes. Such membranes are typically micro-porous by nature and are not sufficiently robust or resistant to water penetration. ISM’s shall be approved by a 3rd party agreement such as BBA or KIWA BDA or similar to prove they are fit for purpose. Installation must be in accordance with the manufacturers guide lines.
